So Dead are Samuel Nejati and Sofia Leonor, a duo from Coimbra who base their music on a concept that is as organic and direct as possible, with no conceptual concerns other than instinct.
Labeled by critics as a post-punk band, the drums, bass and keys take on a very distinctive sound. Their debut EP, "Wait to Die", released in June 2023, served as a prequel to the long-awaited album, to be released this year, wich features the collaboration of Miguel Padilha on keys, who already accompanies the duo in live performances. The new album, entitled "Play Me Like A Doll", features special guest appearances by Victor Torpedo (The Parkinsons, Victor Torpedo & the Pop Kids), Alberto Ferraz (From Atomic) and Rafael Almeida (Mula Ruça). The editing and mastering was carried out by João Rui/John Mercy and the artwork by Victor Torpedo. The release will take place on September 2, a few days before So Dead's performance at Luna Fest. The label could only be Lux Records.
